Benefit 4 Hope is a non-profit organization that was founded by high school student Brianna Sanders-Young. The purpose of the providing awareness, supplies and funds for children around the world, living in horrible conditions. Children who are left on the street, sold into labor and prostitution, abused, etc...
Brianna has done various fundraisers, and has helped children affected by Hurricane Katrina, homeless girls in India, and has plans to help more children in other countries.

Congrats to Annie Young, Brianna's younger sister. Brianna said her goodbyes at the Hope Awards November 12, and passed the torch to Annie. Annie is now the Director of Benefit For Hope, at age 14. Annie has been by Brianna's side from the Begining, so she is perfect to run the organization.
The Hope Awards will begining take nominations for next year, in August. We are already planning the Award Show, which will be bigger and Much better than the first.
KIDS WITH CAMERAS
B4H is starting a new program for local kids, called Kids With Cameras, modeled after the program that was started in India. Kids with Cameras is a free hands-on, weekly class for kids ages 10 to 18 yrs old. Classes will include basic camera operation, filters and how to use their own imagination. The classes will help support not only the kids' interest in photography, but help boost their self esteem, their confidenace and their need to learn. There will be lots of fun and interesting assignments and experiments, ending with an exhibit this summer.
While, the classes are free, kids do need digital cameras of at least 4 megapixels, and no phone cameras. We are hoping to obtain donations of digital cameras or funds to purchase cameras for those kids who cannot afford their own. Please contact us if you are interested in donating, or learning more about the program. UPDATE*** We recently received a small grant to purchase some extra cameras and memory cards, so we now have those available to use during the classes.

Benefit For Hope is teaming up with award winning photographer, Wanda Sanders-Young to produce, not one, but TWO fundraising Calendars. One is of 1940s style pin-up girls ( such as Lana Turner, & Veronica Lake).
The second Calendar is of children in different themes (such as Golf, space and fairyland).
We had such a great turn-out for models, and it was so hard to choose, but we've dont it. We want to thank everyone that turned out, wanting to help. Now begins the work, to produce the two calendars. We are in need of sponsors to help with the printing and distrubtion costs, so if you are interested in helping, please contact us.
